What are your plans going forward?
Before you answer that question, think with me for a moment.
Our world is going through some strange times.
As we look around us we see many reasons for fear. Many reasons to allow depression to pile in on us.
I don’t need to list the problems because you know what they are.
Yet at the same time, many people who have their ear tuned to God, are making some great statements. Our Father is telling us that this is a time when an open door is before us. An open door for us to fulfill those dreams which the Lord placed on our hearts many years ago.
It’s like the Promised Land. It stands before us.
Yet, we know what happened in the promised land.
There were giants there. When you look at Numbers 13, you can see it all laid out before you. And there are many lessons there.
12 spies were ordered to go into the Promised Land (The Land God had promised), and bring back a report. When they returned, 10 spies were full of fear. They returned with a bunch of grapes so large they had to carry it on a pole between them.
So they said. “It’s indeed a good land, but there are giants there. In fact, we looked like grasshoppers in their sight.”
Only 2 – Joshua and Caleb – were full of faith to go in. They believed that God would make the way for them to enter the land.
If He had promised it, He would do it! Those 2 were the only ones to eventually go into the land. Because of their faith.
So here we are.
Many people have promises or plans they received – even long ago. This is our season to reach out and go through those open doors.
Are there giants there? Yes!
Fear, doubt, intimidation, misunderstanding from those around us.
But if God is for us, who can be against us? (Romans 8:31)
His promises are sure.
So we stand up straight and face the headwinds. Knowing that our God is on our side and empowering us to do what he has called us to do.
